TUSCANIA CULINARY ARTS/CULTURAL IMMERSION PROGRAM:
COMBINE ITALIAN LANGUAGE WITH COOKING IN THE BEAUTIFUL ETRUSCAN LAND

The Mediterranean Culinary Art School and Wine program at LdM Tuscania offers the opportunity of experiencing timeless cuisine in a part of central Italy that was once home to the Romans and Etruscans. In a country where the culture of food and wine has been celebrated by the ancestors and contemporary Italians alike, students will learn to create traditional dishes using only natural ingredients from the nearby countryside.

The newly constructed cooking facilities at Lorenzo de' Medici Tuscania offer ample teaching space and include gas and electric ranges, ovens, grills and convection ovens for pastry production. Students will also learn about the types of wines and olive oils from the various regions of Italy. After acquiring a knowledge of the types of vines and their characteristics, the student will gain an understanding of tasting techniques and the methods of wine and oil production. Courses are complemented with on-site visits to local vineyards, wineries and oil mills.

Intensive programs for professionals and schools can be arranged as full immersion study and practice of the food and wine culture of Italy.

LdM Tuscania offers a special one-week (Saturday to Saturday) cultural immersion course with accommodation in B&B.

Program includes:

• Italian language course: 2hrs/day (Monday-Friday)
• Pairing Food and Wine class: 3hrs/day (Monday-Friday)
• Welcome and Farewell dinners
• Daily activities
