What makes LdM special? Scuola Lorenzo de' Medici (LdM) is known as Italy's most distinctive and established international institution. The School pride itself on its years of experience of offering vocationally-oriented courses in Archaeology, Art History, Creative Arts, Culinary Arts, Fashion Design, Film Production, Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Jewelry Design, Interior Design, Italian language, Museum Management, Photography, Restoration and Conservation, Theatre. Students can choose from over 400 different courses in Arts, Humanities, Social Sciences, Business, Economics, Political Science, Mathematics. Where is LdM located? LdM has campuses located in Florence, Rome and Tuscania, Italy. The LdM Admission Services office is located in Florence. What is the official language at LdM campuses? All the courses are taught in English, except for the Italian Language courses. Why I should choose one of the new sites? This expansion provides the opportunity for students to study in multiple locations and truly experience different aspects of Italy. These different locations augment the already expansive offerings and will appeal to students of many different backgrounds, interests, experiences and motivations. I don’t speak Italian. Can I still study at LdM? Yes. The Italian language program is offered for beginners, and we strongly encourage students to begin their language studies at Lorenzo de’Medici. Living abroad, students will be able to immerse themselves in the culture and language of Italy in a way that is not available at home. LdM has been helping to introduce students to Italian language for over 30 years and is one of the leading institutes of language teaching. Does LdM offer any work opportunity? Students who have a solid background in the areas of Restoration and Conservation, Fashion Design, Graphic Design, Interior Design, Jewellery Design, Film Production and Theatre have the possibility to enrol in our Professional Study Certificates which provide specific skills in each of these areas by combining theoretical with practical work. Students will have the opportunity to participate in productive projects, commissioned to the instructors who are renowned professionals operating in the fields offered by the Program. However, the Institute does not guarantee student employment possibilities. How is LdM accredited? LdM is authorized by the Ministry of Public Education in Italy and has recognition, accreditation and membership in a number of European and international educational organizations. The customizable programs offered at LdM, and Certificate Programs, are recognized by various colleges, universities and institutes within the United States. In its teaching programs, LdM collaborates with the University of Florence. |
