Studying fashion design also means heading down a path toward growth and self-awareness that leads to the ability to understand what exactly your strong points are and what your own role can be, not only in the fashion industry, but also in the world.

At LdM, your starting point is the knowledge of the techniques for designing models on paper, elaborating these technical designs via computer, and analyzing fabrics. We do all of this in order to associate ideas and available materials with the results we want. Illustrate fashion figures, design collections and realize clothing items through experimentation and utilization of a wide variety of fashion techniques: paper models, draping, sewing, embroidery, knitwear, printing, designing accessories, and more.

In the world of fashion, as in other highly competitive fields, one of the greatest resources is the ability to work in a team to develop ideas and create successful products. Because of this, we have developed a program where you not only learn how to design and realize garments, but also to meet all the challenges of working in the real fashion world, such as collaborating with photographers, finding models, and organizing publicity. The final result is a picture of the unified techniques acquired through this educational process.

FASHION DESIGN - FACILITIES
LdM Fashion classrooms are equipped with instruments for doing creative research, samples of fabric and yarn, colored folders and fashion magazines. Here you will find a library specifically focused on fashion and everything related to its research, in addition to a vast selection of printed resources available at the central LdM library. A sewing lab waits for you, equipped with mannequins and industrial sewing machines for learning all the necessary techniques used in realizing designed items. And, of course, there is also our computer lab equipped with constantly updated software. This is the reality of the LdM Fashion Design Department, in a position to guarantee educational standards of the highest level for future fashion professionals.
