The Program of Study is structured to providing students with a rounded education. Students are exposed to a curriculum that is both integrative and distributive, blending courses that all students take as part of a shared educational experience with elective courses in seven areas of study.

The distribution requirements ensure that students are introduced to a broad range of disciplines. Since each discipline represents a distinctive approach to knowledge and understanding, these courses complement the attention to values awareness emphasized in the common courses.

These courses are content -based and emphasize an understanding of the skills, methodology,and ethical issues of each discipline.

The Program of study is structured on the basis of the following required courses:

Total of credits to achieve the Bachelor degree: 120 cr

Common courses (see the detailed course list requirements in Art history, Fine Arts, Fashion design, Theatre)

The Core/Liberal Studies requirements:

  • Foundation courses (required) total 6-12 cr (philosophy courses, writing courses)
  • Distribution areas total 36 cr (fine arts, history, literature, mathemathics, natural science, philosophy or religious studies, social science)

The Core/Liberal Studies Capping courses is discipline-based experience that adresss values developed within a wider context and adresses values issues developed throughout the Core/Liberal stduies program. This course is taken during a student's senior year 45-51 cr
