1st step

In order to apply for the LdM Study Certificate Program, students must submit the following documents and/or meet the following requirements:

  • Application Form
  • Copy of the enrolment fee wire transfer receipt
  • Copy of your passport
  • Copy of diploma, high school/university transcript or equivalent (translated in Italian, or English)
  • In order to learn effectively, students are expected to be independent English users with proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Non-native English speakers are required to demonstrate that they have reached the high intermediate level in English language skills, with certification or other evidence equivalent to the following minimum overall TOEFL scores: Paper Based Test 550+, Computer Based Test 213+, or Internet Based Test 80+.

If you have previous work experience or university coursework in the field and would like to apply for an advanced placement in the Study Certificate Program, please submit the following documents in addition to those listed above:

  • The completed LdM Previous studies form*
  • Portfolio of 5 examples of your projects (CD-ROM, e-mail preferred).

Student Visa
Students coming from countries that require a visa to study abroad need to present to the Italian Embassy or Consulate in their home country a certificate of enrolment issued by Lorenzo de' Medici. In order to receive the certificate of enrolment students must pay the entire tuition fee for the period of studies. Students who are unable to obtain the visa to enter Italy must notify the School in writing before the course starting date, showing proof of rejection from the Italian Embassy. In this case, they are entitled to a full refund minus a 150 Euro cancellation fee. Should notification reach the School after the commencement of the course, no refund will be made.

IMPORTANT:
The completion of the registration process implies that the student understands all the policies and regulations of LdM and agrees to abide by them.
Each student must read the application regulations and fill out and sign the registration form on both the front and the back.

Credit Card Payment

NOTE: If you use a bank transfer, please send a copy of the bank receipt by fax or e-mail as soon as the payment has been made. Please indicate: 1) student's full name; 2) course name, and starting date; 3) for the housing deposit please specify "housing deposit". Bank charges are to be met by the student. Should the payment be in a foreign currency, the exchange rate will be charged at the rate of the day on which the sum is cashed. The balance must be paid before the beginning of the course, no later than the first day of class.
A 2% administrative fee will be automatically added to all credit card payments over $100/€100.
